To say it's been a frustrating season from the Chicago Blackhawks would be an understatement. The Blackhawks who just a couple seasons ago where considered a dynasty, now sit 7th in the Central division and not looking like the dynamic force they once were.

The Blackhawks organization went through a lot of turmoil after the Kyle Beach inquiry causing Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman to step down and what's worse is the Blackhawks owner embarrassed the organization when asked how the Blackhawks will make sure that'll never happen again, Owner Rocky Wirtz tried to just sweep the disgusting incident under the rug saying:
"Where not going to talk about Kyle Beach now or ever again that's been taken care of and we're moving on."

Things continued to get worse for the Blackhawks as Captain Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane weren't happy with Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson trading Brandon Hagel away just before the NHL trade deadline. This got the rumours scene going crazy believing Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane could both be getting moved at the trade deadline.
As you know the deadline had come and gone and both remain in Chicago, however one hockey insider believes Patrick Kane will be traded this summer.
According to Buffalo Sabres hockey insider John Vogl Patrick Kane could be heading home to play for the Buffalo Sabres.
When he was asked on Twitter were Kane could be playing next season Vogl shared this:

"You're not delusional and you're not alone," wrote Vogl on Monday. "Kane was the subject of several mailbag questions, and I've called for his arrival a few times in recent years this could be a deal this off-season."
Vogl was asked what the cost of bringing Kane to Buffalo would and he believes:
"Two firsts, a prospect and more is the likely starting point," warned Vogl. "With the Sabre's window just opening, that's too much for a guy with only one year remaining on his contract."

Could you imagine Patrick Kane going home to play for his home town team? The Sabres would be making crazy money on merchandise and adding a player of Kane's calibre would definitely bring some respect to the Sabres organization who's been struggling to have a solid team for years now.
Patrick Kane is 33 and has played in 1,092 games with the Blackhawks scoring 425 goals, 742 assists, and had a plus 49 rating. Kane has won 3 Stanley Cups and is arguably the greatest American player of all time.
