The hockey world grieves the passing of Don Cherry's daughter
Sad reports broke out today regarding the passing of Cynthia Cherry, the daughter of legendary broadcaster Don Cherry. Cynthia was 67 years old.
Cynthia was born on March 29, 1957, and grew up having the legendary Don Cherry as her father. Don was a former NHL coach and a famous broadcaster in Canada on Hockey Night in Canada. Reports reveal that Cynthia unexpectedly passed away on July 15th, at the Trillium Health Centre.
Don Cherry's daughter has died
Don Cherry used to coach the Boston Bruins for many years, and had a quick stint coaching the Colorado Rockies as well. Later on, he left the bench and took up a career in broadcasting, with a segment called Coach's Corner. He alongside his co-host Ron McLean, would speak during every intermission on Hockey Night in Canada.
Cindy will definitely be missed by Don. She also leaves behind her son Del and his father Roger. She was the daughter of not only Don, but of her mother, the late Rose. Anyone interested in making a donation can do so by donating to the Don Cherry Pet Rescue Foundation.
Our sincerest condolences go out to the entire family of Cindy and Don.
