RUMOUR: Patrick Kane Tied Once Again to Buffalo After Trade
The Sabres brokered a trade yesterday leading to more speculation if Patrick Kane will sign with them.
Sabres Make A Trade
Yesterday, the Buffalo Sabres made a trade with the Anaheim Ducks.
With this trade, the Sabres freed up nearly three million dollars leading to speculation on if they are the front runners to land Patrick Kane.
Can The Sabres Land Kane?
It is no secret that the Sabres are interested in Patrick Kane and there is certainly mutual interest. Kane was born and raised in Buffalo and grew up a Sabres fan so it seems like the two would be a logical fit.
Kane even reminded us all that he was a Sabres fan yesterday following the passing of Rick Jeanneret.
With the cap space they freed up from the Lyubushkin trade, the Sabres could use it on Patrick Kane when he is ready to sign. Very few teams in the NHL have as much cap space as the Sabres and of those with a lot of cap space, none are nearly as competitive as the Sabres.
While we will have to wait a little while to see if Patrick Kane signs anywhere, we can be certain that the Sabres will be making their best pitch for their hometown superstar.
