BREAKING: Ducks And Sabres Complete A Trade
The Buffalo Sabres added to their blueline this offseason. They signed both Connor Clifton and Erik Johnson. These moves created a log jam on the back end for the Sabres. Today they alleviated some of that with a trade involving the Anaheim Ducks
The Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks completed a trade centered around defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin today. The details of the trade are as follows:
Trade: #NHLDucks acquire D Ilya Lyubushkin.
To Anaheim: Ilya Lyubushkin
To #Sabres: 2025 4th Rd Pick (MIN)
Anaheim had previously acquired that pick at the 2023 trade deadline for John Klingberg.
Trade Analysis
This trade helps the Buffalo Sabres clear out their blue line and they acquire a mid round pick for their troubles.
For the Anaheim Ducks they add a reliable defensive defenseman to help improve their league worst defense from a season ago.
