Last season after the Florida Panthers got off to a 7-0-0 start under former coach Joel Quenneville, he was relieved of his duties due to his involvement/knowledge of the Kyle Beach scandal.
Since then, Quenneville has not been allowed to get back into coaching until approved by Gary Bettman.
It's been reported by some that Bettman would be okay with the idea of Quenneville returning to coaching, but others have stated that Bettman will fight it and not allow him back, especially after the current Boston Bruins situation going on with Mitchell Miller.
Quenneville is a three-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Chicago Blackhawks before they let him go, and is the second most winningest coach in NHL history, with a record of 969-572-77-150.
Recently, NHL Insider Darren Dreger shared this about Quenneville:
Joel Quenneville is eager to get back to coaching, any team interested would have to go through the Panthers and also Bettman. Bettman has to clear Quenneville to return, that has not happened yet and some believe that won't happen until next season.
While many hockey fans are a big fan of Quenneville's, there are still quite a few hockey fans who do not want to see him back in the NHL.
