For awhile now Connor Bedard has been the projected first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The kid looks like he has everything it takes to be a superstar player in the National Hockey League, but then again, everyone thought Shane Wright was going first overall as well.
Last season, Matvei Michkov was the only player who posed a threat to Bedard for the first overall pick, but due to Michkov's KHL contract, it is more likely that Bedard get's selected before him as they are fairly matched in skill. But recently Adam Fantilli is making a case for the first overall selection as he is tearing up the University leagues for the University of Michigan with 9 goals and 23 points in 12 games.
