We all know Brad Marchand likes to cause drama and get under people's skin during games. But Marchand seemed to go off last night during a game vs the Toronto Maple Leafs, Marchand received a 10 minute misconduct from the referees for cross checking Maple Leafs captain John Tavares and chirping something at the officials.
The score could of played a part in it being 6-2 Toronto after 40 minutes but we learned a little more from the Leafs Captain John Tavares in a interview with TSN's Mark Masters:
"He gave me a few cross checks. It is what it is. I'm just going to keep playing and focus on executing and doing the job I need to do that's part of his game so you just don't get drawn into that."
Marchand tried to use his tricks to agitate Tavares but the Leafs Captain didn't fall for that causing Marchand to become more frustrated.
