The Canucks are hoping to see several players step up their game next season. There's a lot of talented young players, like Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson. These are the type of guys you build a team around. But can they do it?
This doesn't come as a surprise, but Boudreau, like many fans, thinks that Pettersson should be named captain.
As the former coach hinted, Pettersson will be a free agent next summer, and if he isn't happy with the way things are in the organizaion, he could decide to move his career. If he stays, there's no doubt that he'll be a great captain for the Canucks.
