REPORT: Key Avalanche Defenseman May Be Suffering Career-Threatening Injury
An Avalanche defenseman's career could be in jeopardy if things go poorly due to a worrying injury.
Manson's Potentially Struggling With Injury
Recently,
Josh Manson has been struggling with lower body injuries. It was just revealed that Manson could be struggling with a hip injury by Colorado Hockey Now reporter Evan Rawal.
Manson was skating on his own, talking to 4 people who are tracking him with a device, including a trainer. Mentioned something is uncomfortable on his hip, so they seemed to adjust something he's wearing under his pads and he said it felt good. Has since joined rest of group.
Then yesterday, Rawal reported that Manson was missing the practice entirely.
Josh Manson did not skate today. Everyone else who skated yesterday was on the ice again.
Manson's Recent Struggles
When healthy, Josh Manson is a phenomenal top-four defenseman and one that any team would like to have. Last season alone, he missed 55 regular season games and some playoff games as well. He suffered three separate injuries that sidelined him for most of the year.
Since 2019, Manson has missed over 100 games with injury which is far from ideal. As he is on the wrong side of 30, we could be witnessing a drastic decline in terms of health for a player who is outstanding when healthy.
