This off-season has been a wild one for the NHL, and one of the biggest stories thus far has been the incident involving Alex Galchenyuk, just days after he was signed by the Arizona Coyotes.
A new home
While it appears no one in the NHL would touch Galchenyuk at this point, that doesn't mean he's going to be away from hockey, as he has officially found his new home.
It is now being reported that he will be signing with Spartak Moscow in the KHL in Russia, and after a disappointing year and a terrible summer, this could be the new start he is after.
A fresh start
In 2022-23, Galchenyuk played in just 11 games with the Avalanche without registering a point, but at 29-years of age, there's still time for him to recapture old form.
Early in his career, he was a solid middle-six forward who has now totalled 354 points in 654 career games, and if he can find himself in Russia, there's no doubting there could be a spot for him in the NHL again one day.
