There is cause for concern for Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev after he was stretchered off the ice during tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Tanev was hit from behind by Flyers second-year player Matvei Michkov, who was then immediately confronted by several Leafs players.
Tanev had recently come back from 10 days of concussion protocol after being hurt on October 21 at home against the New Jersey Devils.

Chris Tanev Had Just Come Back From 10 Days Of Concussion Protocol

Tanev has had concussions in his career, and he said he was looking forward to coming back tonight for the 1st time in over a week.
I feel good. I've been through all the steps and had to get into a full practice to sort of complete the protocol. And it went well today, so we'll see how (Saturday's game) goes.

I don't think any one mimics another one. Sometimes your symptoms may last a while, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they're headaches, sometimes they're just head pressure. Could be your mood. I mean, there's so many different things a person can feel, and I don't think any one is the same. - Chris Tanev

Tanev is playing in his second year with the Maple Leafs after signing as a UFA last summer. He has an assist in seven games.
