Chris Kreider missed significant time over the past few weeks, and now he's revealed the brutal illness that forced him to miss four key Ducks games.

The Anaheim Ducks are off to a solid start in 2025/26, and with their incredible mix of youth and experience, there's optimism that this team could make a genuine push to the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season.
One key piece of that puzzle is veteran Chris Kreider, whom the team acquired from the New York Rangers early in the summer, and after a solid start of his own, he recently missed four games with an illness.

Chris Kreider Reveals The Brutal Illness That Kept Him Out

Kreider returned with a goal on Friday night as the Ducks downed the Detroit Red Wings, and now, Kreider has opened up on his absence, revealing the 'not pleasant' injury that kept him out for those four games.
According to Kreider, it was Hand-Foot-Mouth disease that kept him out for the better part of the last week, and given how contagious it can be, he was away from the team for all of that time.
Not pleasant at all. No, it was terrible.

And obviously they didn't want to give anyone on the team that, so it was locked in the hotel room for a few days. It's awful. I don't recommend it.
Now, Kreider is back in the lineup, giving the Ducks another goal scoring threat as they eye a potential return to the post-season this time, and it's safe to say that he's probably never been happier to be back on the ice with his team.
