New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad is involved in more trade rumours, and per a report from analyst David Pagnotta, general manager Chris Drury could move him regardless of his no trade clause.

The New York Rangers managed to get back over the .500 mark with a recent win over the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena, but there are still plenty of questions surrounding the team.
One of those questions is the status of forward Mika Zibanejad, who is still under contract through 2030 with a considerable AAV (average annual value) of $8.5 million.
Even though his contract also has a no-trade clause, NHL analyst David Pagnotta recently said that Rangers GM Chris Drury has shown throughout his managerial career that no-trade clauses don't stop him from making moves.
David Pagnotta: Mika Zibanejad...has been very adamant about wanting to stay, and he's got the full no-move, so he's probably in full control, but as Drury has shown us in the past, he doesn't really care about no-moves - Daily Faceoff Live (10/30)
So far this year, Zibanejad has six points (4G, 2A) in 13 games.

Mika Zibanajad's Stats Have Dropped In Recent Years

Zibanejad has experienced a drop-off of his production in each of the last two seasons, going from 91 points in 2022-23 to 72 points in 2023-24 and just 62 points last year.
He was taken with the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators, where he would play until he was traded to the Rangers along with a 2nd round pick pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft for Derick Brassard and a 7th round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
In his career with the Senators and Rangers, he has 746 points (318G, 428A) in 943 games.
