A game in the KHL has ended terribly after a coaching blunder led to an embarrassing loss.

Today CSKA Moscow faced off against the Kunlun Red Star in a tight game that went to overtime.
CSKA dominated most of the game registering 50 total shots on goal but the game will be highlighted by a major blunder from their coach during overtime.
The coach decided to pull his goaltender in overtime and it went exactly how you would expect.
Why Don't We See This In The NHL?
You may be wondering why a team like the Edmonton Oilers does not pull this maneuver. With played like McDavid and Draisaitl they could certainly capitalize on a powerplay opportunity in overtime. There is a unique reason why we don't see high-octane offense teams pull this move.
Beginning in the 1999–2000 season, the league discourages from pulling their goaltender in overtime; if a team does so, and subsequently loses the game when their opponent scores an empty net goal, the losing team forfeited the one point in the standings they would otherwise have received for an overtime loss
The KHL does not have such a rule so CSKA still earns a point but if an NHL team tries this, it seems like there are only points to lose. However, if a team is desperate enough, they may try a maneuver like this to make the playoffs.
