The NHL's schedule has been proven to be very flexible in recent years, and now they've announced changes to five games between December and April.
While the NHL remains one of the most exciting leagues in North American sports, they do bring in plenty of criticism, and one of those major critiques involves their schedule, as time and time again, the makers of the schedule make some incredibly puzzling decisions.
However, one major positive is how flexible the league has been, with Commissioner Gary Bettman showing that if a big event or something will effect a game, they're happy to swiftly make changes.
NHL Announce Changes To Five Games
Now, between December 4th and April 9th, the league have made some time
changes to their schedule, with most of the changes simply pushing the game back or forwards a certain amount of time.
The change will effect the Maple Leafs, Rangers, Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Hurricanes and other teams, but with the league giving so much notice for these changes, it shouldn't be a tough one for the teams and the fans to see in advance to make an adjustment.
In previous years, we've seen plenty of games have their times adjusted to make things better for the teams and the fans, and with Bettman continuing to show flexibility, the hope is that they'll fix the issues and criticisms that have plagued the league for quite some time.
Ultimately though, the front office has been transparent with these changes for years now, so if you're a fan of these teams, make sure to keep a close eye on these changes over the coming months.
The New York Rangers are not affected by the recent schedule changes.
