Last week, Mike Bissonnette and the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast exposed allegations against Babcock. According to the podcast, Babcock had been requesting access to players' photos on their phones as a means to 'get to know the players'
Johnston believes that Babcock's career in the NHL has reached its end. His inappropriate 'old-school' approach to dealing with the players no longer aligns with the standards of 2023. It's unfortunate that it took this long for something to give but players can feel fortunate that this type of thing should no longer happen in the NHL.
