READ: Possible return of the Quebec Nordiques?
While we have been venting for months if not years now to move the Arizona Coyotes franchise to Quebec, it doesn't seem that will be happening anytime soon.
But yesterday Gary Bettman met with the Finance Minister of Quebec, Eric Girard about the possible return of the franchise.
Nouveau: Le ministre @EricGirardMFQ va rencontrer Gary Bettman aujourd'hui à NY dans les bureaux de la @NHL . On me mentionne qu'il s'agit d'une "rencontre de courtoisie pour garder les canaux de communication ouverts".

This meeting was only apparently a ''courtesy meeting to keep the channels of communication open'' but that doesn't mean that all hope is lost for the return of the franchise.
We know the current embarrassing situation of the arena in Arizona right now, and if the Tempe City Council chooses not to build a new facility for the Coyotes, I would very much expect a move would be in the works.
