Ryan Reaves is one of the best enforcers in the modern NHL, and while that strikes fear into the hearts of his opponents, it now appears that not even coaches were immune to his style.
Appearing on the latest episode of the Empty Netters podcast, Reaves looked back on his time with the St. Louis Blues, detailing an altercation with former Head Coach Ken Hitchcock.
According to Reaves, Hitchcock had gotten under his skin after chewing him out following a mistake on the ice, leading to Reaves grabbing him by the tie and threatening him.
Reaves continued on with his story, revealing that he then went into Hitchcock's office to apologize for the incident, and like a true veteran coach, his reaction to Reaves was perfect.
Given how physically dominant and intimidating he is on the ice, it no doubt would have been a tough situation for Hitchcock here, but after working together for more time after this, it's safe to say that both didn't see it as a major incident.
