Don Cherry had previously spoken out in support of the Freedom Convoy, but today Cherry pulled back a bit of that support as he spoke out on the Grapevine podcast.
"I think we should talk about the truckers," started Cherry, "My favorite guys."
Unlike before when Cherry offered his full support he know withdrew a bit of that support and offered some advice to the convoy.
"Here's my feeling, and I could be wrong, I've never been wrong but I could be wrong," laughed Cherry. "I would make a point, a week is a week. I think after a week you start to get on people's nerves."
Cherry also mentioned that in the group there could also be some bad apples causing trouble.
"If there's 800 lawyers you're gonna have at least 10 that are gonna be jerks and that's what happened," said Cherry. "That is what happened and the media picks up on it and you can not stop the media, that's their job. Anything that looks bad to the truckers and it goes back to the truckers, they get the blame."
Cherry did want to compliment those involvesd though.
"By the way I really have to admire those tractors that showed up," Cherry said with a laugh, "Anyhow I would say if I was the truckers, and truckers are great guys, and anybody else I would do it one week and then I would say 'I'll be back.'"
