The Arizona Coyotes have been mocked for the way their organization is run for years. Today they flipped the script and were able to poke fun at another team for poor drafting.

Coyotes Mock Bottom Team For Poor Drafting

Last night the Arizona Coyotes beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2. After winning they took to X to poke fun at the Canadiens and former first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky.
The Canadiens famously selected Slafkovsky first overall in a surprising twist. Meanwhile the Arizona Coyotes selected Logan Cooley second overall. Now the two faced off last night with Cooley getting a point and the win.
When you don't draft Logan Cooley No. 1

Cooley has been showing why he deserved to be a top 5 pick and why the Canadiens should regret passing on him. He already has 8 points in 10 games to start his NHL career. While first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky has struggled.

Slafkovsky Continues To Struggle

Juraj Slafkovsky is into his second year in the NHL. Through his first 10 games Slafkovsky has struggled immensely. In 10 games he has just 1 point and is struggling to create chances.
The 2022 first overall pick has had a turbulent start to his career. While he plays a mature game that allows him to stick in the NHL his skill and upside has failed to come out.
Many fans and media are hoping the Canadiens send him to the AHL to find his offensive flair again. If Slafkovsky can't get back on track soon his development into an elite player could be heavily impacted.
As the season progresses the Slafkovsky conundrum will be one that is fascinating to watch.
