While the Oilers had a rough go to start the season, the team is now back in the playoff picture. Apparently that is not good enough from some fans though as multiple fights broke out in the stands at Rodgers Place when the team hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday night.
Any fan will tell you that losing 7-4 on home ice is very frustrating. No one likes to see their team get scored on that many times in a single game. However, that does not excuse fans from being hooligans in the crowd. That is exactly what happened Thursday night as multiple fans got into physical altercations with each other.
Apparently, one of the fans involved is supposedly a repeat offender, making this situation even worse. If a fan proves that they cannot behave themselves at games than maybe the arena staff should take actions to prevent them from return, at least for a limited period of time.
Regardless, the Oilers are looking to continue their strong play as of late as they look to push for a top-three spot in the Pacific division. This will be a tall task as the team is currently 11 points back of the Kings for 3rd place, but they are 8-2 over their last ten games. If they can keep up that level of play, then they should be able to catch them before the season ends.
