Connor McDavid May Make History By Reaching a Crazy Milestone Next Season
Connor McDavid is in the argument for the best NHL player ever to play. And though this milestone is unlikely, it's not out of reach for him this season. Reaching it would cement him with the greatest of all time.
1000 Points
McDavid is currently sitting at 850 points, 150 away from the major milestone of 1000. 150 points in a season is incredible, something that only 6 players have achieved. Connor McDavid was one of them, last season.
Another 150-point season would bring McDavid into the 1000-point club, and it's not out of the question.
McDavid needs 150 to hit 1000 and I think that's more likely than Wheeler getting 78
Among the Greats
If McDavid is able to repeat his output last year and reach 1000 points, he will hit the milestone in under 650 games. An incredible feat that only two other players have done, Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky.
McDavid is already in the conversation for the best to ever play in the NHL. Last year's 150-point performance was one to be remembered, putting him in a club with Gretzky, Lemieux, Esposito, Nichols, and Yzerman. If he can do it again, he will join an even more exclusive club.
