In breaking news announced this morning, Calgary Flames AGM Chris Snow has suffered a tragic incident requiring emergency care.
Chris Snow Rushed to Hospital Yesterday After Cardiac Arrest
In a Tweet this morning, Kelsie Snow announced the tragic incident that Flames AGM Chris Snow experienced yesterday, where he suffered a cardiac arrest and proceeding catastrophic brain injury from the lack of oxygen to the brain.
Snow is currently at the hospital, and doctors do not expect him to wake up from the incident.
With a shattered heart I've come to share that yesterday Chris became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics and doctors were able to get his heart beating again but, devastatingly, a scan showed Chris has suffered a catastrophic brain injury caused by lack of oxygen. His doctors do not expect him to wake up from this. My chest feels cracked open and hollowed out. Chris is the most beautiful, brilliant person I'll ever know and doing life without him feels untenable. Hug your people.
Chris had previously been diagnosed with ALS in 2019, a disease that ran in his family and which doctors only gave him a year to live with. During the past 4 years, not only did Chris continue to work with the Flames, but left his mark on the club, helping them to one of their best regular seasons in history in 2021-22.
Our thoughts are with Chris and his family during these difficult times.
