After their most recent loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins at home, San Jose Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said he'd pay a heavy price to win their 1st game of the new season.

Things have not gone right for the San Jose Sharks so far this year, who still haven't won a single game through the 1st 5 games of the new season.
Their latest disappointment was a 4-2 loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins at SAP Center last night; it's especially disappointing considering the Penguins now have 4 wins on the year after being projected to not come anywhere close to a playoff spot this year.
The Sharks have been at or near the bottom of the Western Conference standings now for the last several years, and things haven't gotten off to an encouraging start this year.
After the loss, Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky talked about the lengths he'd go to help San Jose win their 1st game of the year, saying he'd give up one of his own kids.
Trust me, it sucks. I keep telling myself there's gotta be a reason why this keeps happening. I'd give up one of my children for a f---ing win. It's frustrating. I'm sorry for swearing. We're just very frustrated and we're going to keep working at it.

The Sharks will have a chance to pick up their 1st win of the year when they play the New York Islanders on the road on Tuesday.

The Penguins Beat the Sharks 3-0 in San Jose

The Penguins walked into SAP Center and left with a 3-0 win after goals from Sidney Crosby, Anthony Mantha and Evgeni Malkin. Goalie Tristan Jarry made 31 saves for a shutout.
It was also a disappointing loss for former Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic, who the Penguins traded to the Sharks during the summer with a year left on his contract.
The Sharks will have to figure things out in a hurry to avoid this season slipping away from them once again.
