Bad injury news for the Philadelphia Flyers, who have now lost All-Star winger Travis Konecny after he was hurt by taking a shot to the knee during practice after missing a game because of an upper-body injury.

It's not good news for the Philadelphia Flyers, who have lost All-Star forward Travis Konecny after he took a shot off the knee in practice. He had just returned to practice after missing a game because of an upper-body injury.
He was aided by trainers Alex Ambrose and Joe Mele and eventually went back out on the ice to test out his knee, but it didn't last long.
Following practice, head coach Rick Tocchet sounded like he was in wait-and-see mode on Konecny's knee.
Hopefully it wakes up a little bit. It was like a dead leg type of thing, so we'll see about tomorrow.

It seems like injuries, even with other teams, come in bunches; they don't come every once in a while. You get one, two, three, four in a row, so maybe it's our turn now, we're starting to get it. You've just got to push through that stuff. - Rick Tocchet

So far this year, Konecny has 38 points (14G, 24A) in 42 games.

Travis Konecny's Teammates Hope That He Isn't Out Long

It didn't help the Flyers that they were missing Konecny, along with a handful of other players, in their 7-2 loss last night to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Given his importance to the team, Konecny's teammates hope that he's not out for long.
He's a huge piece of our team. He's an emotional guy out there, and he drags us into the fight. We were certainly missing him last game. But injuries happen, so we've just got to be able to step up and be better when he's not out there. Obviously, he's a big part of our club. - Christian Dvorak

The Flyers will hope to have Konecny back when they play the Lightning once again on Monday.
