The American Hockey League affiliates of both the St. Louis Blues and the Tampa Bay Lightning have swapped players in a post-trade deadline move.
Even though the NHL trade deadline concluded last week on Friday, there has been a move in the American Hockey League involving the farm teams of the St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Springfield Thunderbirds have acquired Wyatt Newpower from the Crunch for Matthew Peca:
Peca has 34 points (8G, 26A) in 49 games with the Thunderbirds so far this year, and Newpower had five points (2G, 3A) in 21 games with the Crunch.

Peca was taken with the 201st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Lightning, and went on to play several years at Quinnipiac University.
He eventually made his debut with the Lightning in 2016-17, but eventually left and signed a two year contract with the Montreal Canadiens in 2018, where he would play until being traded to the Ottawa Senators in 2020 for Aaron Luchuk and a pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Eventually he signed with the Blues, and played mostly with the Thunderbirds, where he was named captain.
In 83 career NHL games, Peca has 21 points (6G, 15A).
Never drafted into the NHL, Newpower played several years at the University of Connecticut and has played for multiple AHL teams, including the Cleveland Monsters, Grand Rapids Griffins, Bridgeport Islanders, Iowa Wild and Crunch.
He has yet to appear in an NHL game during his professional career.
