What makes such a great player isn't just his goal scoring, but he is also one of the best hitters in the NHL as well.

Tonight the Capitals are in New York to take on the Islanders, and Ovechkin proved what type of hitter he is when he drops JG Pageau.

Pageau was attempting to clear the puck and Ovechkin delivered a big CLEAN hit along the boards. Pageau was slow to get to his feet, and when he did he needed his teammate to help him stay on his feet.

Pageau later returned to the game, but he spent quite a bit of time in the locker room.
