Jon Cooper of the Tampa Bay Lightning is among the most well-respected coaches in the NHL thanks to his two Stanley Cup rings.
Unfortunately, it appears the sun is rapidly setting on the contention era of the Tampa Bay Lightning, as they have fallen into a 3-0 series deficit against their rival Florida Panthers.
Things just haven't been fitting together - franchise goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has been a let down, and Art Ross winner Nikita Kucherov hasn't looked like himself.
Following last night's game, Jon Cooper made things clear to his players; if they don't believe in their team, and that they can turn around this series, they shouldn't show up to the rink at all:
"If you're not gonna believe, you don't have to come, so let's see how many guys show up tomorrow"
POWERFUL quote from Jon Cooper after the Bolts go down 0-3 in the series
We will see if the Tampa Bay Lightning can bounce back from this deficit. The odds are against them, but if there's one team that can figure it out - it's probably the one coached by Jon Cooper.
