Predators trade Michael Bunting to Central Division foe

The Nashville Predators are sending Michael Bunting packing yet again, as he'll be sent to the divisional foe Dallas Stars, his sixth team in the NHL, ahead of tomorrow afternoon's trade deadline.
The trade deadline is starting to kick into overdrive, as there have already been multiple players traded ahead of tomorrow afternoon's deadline.
Former Toronto Maple Leafs Calder Trophy runner up Michael Bunting is now one of them, as he's joining the sixth team of his NHL career.
Bunting is being traded from the Nashville Predators to the Dallas Stars for a third round draft pick per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman.
So far this year with the Predators, Bunting has 31 points (13G, 18A) in 61 games played.
Michael Bunting Almost Won The Calder Trophy With The Toronto Maple Leafs As Rookie Of The Year In 2022
Bunting was taken with the 117th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, where he started his career before signing a two year contract with the Maple Leafs in 2021.
He was runner up for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's best rookie in 2021-22, coming in second place to Moritz Seider of the Detroit Red Wings.
After another year in Toronto, he signed a three year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, but was traded less than a full season into the deal to the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the Jake Guentzel deal.
One year ago today, he was traded from the Penguins to the Predators with a fourth round draft pick for Tommy Novak and Luke Schenn.
In 405 career NHL games, Bunting has 250 points (108G, 142A).
