After St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko refused to waive his no-trade clause to go to the Buffalo Sabres, there are two frontrunners that he could end up with instead before tomorrow's deadline.
It looked like the Buffalo Sabres were going to get a major piece on their blue line, as reports emerged that St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko was going to join them, but that it would require him waiving his no-trade clause.
It turns out that Parayko has refused to waive his no-trade clause, and won't be going to the Sabres after all.
But per reports, there are instead two frontrunners who could end up with Parayko instead of Buffalo, and they're both on the west coast.
Per NHL analyst Kevin Weekes, either the Los Angles Kings or Anaheim Ducks could acquire Parayko, who would prefer to stay in the Western Conference.
Update Re St. Louis Blues D Parayko, I'm told his preference as of now is to stay in the West, and he's open to the LA Kings and Ducks among potential landing spots. - Kevin Weekes
So far this year, Parayko has 14 points (1G, 13A) in 58 games.
