The Chicago Blackhawks have two first overall picks on their roster between Connor Bedard and Taylor Hall and will be looking to add another one.
Blackhawks Eyeing Lafreniere
Per NHLTradeRumors.com, the Chicago Blackhawks are looking to pursue Alexis Lafreniere. Lafreniere was the first overall pick back in 2020 and has yet to truly break out at the NHL level.
Throughout 219 NHL games, Lafreniere has scored only 91 points. He is currently being underutilized in the Rangers system and is playing behind star players like Artemi Panarin and Chris Krieder.
A change of scenery may be necessary for Lafreniere to prevent him from completely busting and playing him alongside Connor Bedard and Taylor Hall may help him break out as a star finally.
