Toronto Maple Leafs analyst Seixeiro has made some interesting accusations against George Parros, the head of the NHL Department of Player Safety, and they seem to be more true than ever, especially after his recent ruling.

Controversy erupted last week in the NHL when Anaheim Ducks captain Radko Gudas kneed Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews, resulting in a Grade 3 MCL sprain for the latter and ending the rest of his season.
Gudas was suspended for five games, which will bring the total number of games suspended up to 26 when he serves them.
Several angry Maple Leafs players and coaches have voiced their frustration that the punishment wasn't severe enough, and now analyst Sid Seixeiro is chiming in and suggesting a clear conflict of interest.
He believes that George Parros, the head of the NHL Department of Player Safety, who played three quarters of his NHL career in a Ducks sweater, is biased towards the Ducks and also "has it out" for the Leafs.
Do any of you know how many games George Parros played in his career? I can tell you, 474. Do you know what percentage of those teams happened in Anaheim, the team in question? 75%. George Parros is ruling on an incident involving a team that he spent most of his NHL adult life with, the Anaheim Ducks. And I bet you he still has some relationships there, I'm just guessing. This reeks, this decision. Reeks. And George Parros does not have the background to have anyone trust him on it. He's clearly going for the Ducks in this decision and has clearly had it out for the Leafs for years. - Sid Seixeiro

George Parros Has Drawn Mixed Reviews Since Taking Over His Current Position

Parros was mostly an enforcer during his NHL career, a position that has mostly gone by the wayside.
But there have been several rulings of his that many fans and analysts feel don't adequately protect star players in the NHL.
Matthews, one of the most visible faces of the NHL, won't play again for the rest of the season, and Parros is now being accused of being too lenient toward a team he played for during his own career.
