Outspoken NHL player agent Allan Walsh, who has caused plenty of controversy during his career, is calling for George Parros to be fired as the head of the NHL Department of Player Safety.

There was more controversy this past week in the NHL, as Anaheim Ducks captain Radko Gudas was suspended for five games by the NHL Department of Player Safety for kneeing Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews.
Matthews, who suffered a Grade 3 MCL sprain, was announced as being done for the rest of the season.
George Parros, a former NHL enforcer who has been the head of the NHL DPS for the last several years, has caught plenty of heat from fans, analysts, players, and NHL organizations for his inconsistent rulings and what they see as failure to protect star players.
Now, outspoken NHL agent Allan Walsh is outright calling for Paros to be fired.
Parros and his group have brought us to this point. We need to start over with a new process, new people and clearly delineated guidelines. No one knows whether a hit is a 2 game suspension or minor penalty. The fans/media are fed up and players brains are not being protected. - Allan Walsh
Walsh will have plenty of supporters for his comments, as Parros has been the target of criticism for his inconsistency.

The New York Rangers Outright Called For George Parros To Be Fired In 2021

In 2021, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson brutalized New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin, but was not punished by the NHL.
The Rangers responded by outright calling for Paros to be fired, which resulted in a massive fine and rebuke from the NHL, and eventually the resignation of a pair of Rangers executives.
But now that Connor McDavid has respectfully called for a review of the entire process of how suspensions get handed out, the NHL will have no choice but to listen.
