The Edmonton Oilers have named Connor Ingram their starting goalie, and it confirms that the acquisition in December of Tristan Jarry from Pittsburgh was a mistake by GM Stan Bowman.

The Edmonton Oilers have named their starting goalie going forward, and it's sure to cause some uneasiness among Oilers fans who hope their team has what it takes to go on a third straight run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Connor Ingram, who is in his first year in an Oilers sweater, has been tabbed as the starter from this point out over Tristan Jarry, who has been anything but consistent since he was acquired in December in a blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed the news that Ingram would be the starter for the majority of their remaining 15 games.
Right now, Connor [Ingram] is our starting goalie. He will get in the majority of the starts, as of now, until something changes. - Kris Knoblauch

Jarry has gone winless in his last four games.

Tristan Jarry Was Acquired From Pittsburgh In December

Jarry was acquired from the Penguins in December, but suffered an injury in one of his first games in an Oilers sweater.
Knoblauch said that they won't be playing Ingram every single game, and that they're going to need Jarry to perform when he's called upon.
I think he's a wonderful goaltender, and we're going to need him down the stretch. We can't run Ingram every single game. We like how he's playing right now. We're going to need both our goalies, and we'll need him to be at his best. - Kris Knoblauch

Overall this year with the Oilers and Penguins, Jarry has gone 16-9-2 with a .883 SV%.
He's still signed for another two years with an AAV (average annual value) of $5,375,000.
