Tonight is a very special one for the Chicago Blackhawks captain also known as "Captain Serious."
Johnathan Toews will be playing in his 1,000th career NHL game.
Toews is no doubt going into the NHL Hall of Fame and will likely have his number retired in the United Center by the Blackhawks.
Toews has led the Chicago Blackhawks to 3 Stanley cups beating the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010, Boston Bruins in 2013, and Tampa Bay Lightning in 2015. Toews has also represented Team Canada on numerous occasions winning gold medals.
The 33 year old was drafted 3rd overall by the Blackhawks in 2006, Toews has scored 355 goals and has added 489 assists with an impressive plus 186 rating.
It's hard to picture Toews playing anywhere other then Chicago but there's speculation Toews could be traded this off-season after not liking the trade of teammate Bradon Hagl and the team heading into a rebuild.
