MUST SEE - Phil Kessel shows pure class last night for Clayton Keller
No one ever wants to see an injury happen and Clayton Keller had all fans holding their breath last night after crashing into the boards and needing to be taken out of the rink by a stretcher.
Clayton Keller leaves the game on a stretcher after an awkward wipe-out into the boards. Have a thumbs up on his way off but clearly in a ton of pain. Hoping for the best, he's had a terrific season. #Yotes pic.twitter.com/pgQFhrGuO9— NHL News (@PuckReportNHL) March 31, 2022
Keller was taken to the hospital for evaluation, which we learned this morning that he was going to be out for the rest of the season but out of serious harm.
Want to thank my teammates, the fans, and medical personnel for the love and support last night! Unfortunately the season's over for me, but I'm resting comfortably at the hospital in good spirits. I will be back better than ever for day 1 next season!!!! 🙏 - Clayton Keller via Twitter
One thing we want to highlight though is how much of a class act Phil Kessel is. Apparently after the game, Kessel didn't go to the dressing room, he immediately went to try and find Keller to show supprt.

There has been a lot of speculation over the years that Kessel might be a "locker room cancer" but it seems to be like someone I'd definitely want in my teams room!
