This move was always going to come with some controversy, and while many will point to the Golden Knights needing to release this statement as a reason not to sign him, both the NHL and the NHLPA signed off on the move.
Ultimately, Hart will give this team some solid backup goaltending beyond Adin Hill, and that's what matters at the end of the day, with the team firmly committed to bringing in the former Flyers netminder.
