Evander Kane was acquired by Vancouver this off-season, but after costing them against Montreal, fans have called for the team to move on from him.

This past off-season, the Vancouver Canucks looked to reload after a disappointing season, with their biggest move being the acquisition of veteran forward Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers.
The hopes were that Kane's physicality and goal scoring ability would give this Canucks top-six a jolt after a down year in 2024/25, but thus far, he's been highly disappointing, posting just three assists in nine games played.

Vancouver Canucks Fans Call For The Team To Move Evander Kane

In their latest game, Kane was at his very worst, and with the Canucks nursing a two-goal lead, he took a very stupid penalty, with the Canadiens using that as momentum to fuel their comeback, eventually picking up the 4-3 victory.
Unsurprisingly, this left Canucks fans furious, so much so that many of them took to social media to call the 34-year old veteran out, with calls for the organization to part ways with the winger.
On top of his less than stellar production, Kane also has a -1 differential this season, and while the Canucks acquired him for very cheap this off-season, it's taken just nine games for the fans to turn on him following his terrible start.
Ultimately, the front office isn't likely to give up on him this quickly, and after posting 6 goals and 12 points in 21 Stanley Cup Playoffs games a year ago in Edmonton, they're hoping that he can help get them there to have that type of production again, but for now, it's not looking very good.
