Hockey has been through some tragic times recently, and now the world is left mourning after former OHL star Jake Patterson tragically passed.

The hockey community has been through some major tragedies in the past year, and unfortunately, the world has been left mourning once again in light of recent news being announced.
On social media, the London Knights announced that former goaltender Jake Patterson had tragically passed away, with tributes pouring in for the 31-year old, originally from Sault St. Marie.

Former London Knights Teammates Pay Tribute To Patterson

Patterson played with the Knights between 2011 and 2014, with some big time teammates during that time, with one, Toronto Maple Leafs star Max Domi paying tribute to Patterson on his social media.
So many incredible memories with our team. You will be missed, Patty

The cause of death for the 31-year old has not publicly been revealed, and may not be revealed to protect the privacy of Patterson's family, with fans flocking to social media to honour their former goaltender who gave fans plenty of memories throughout his time in the Ontario Hockey League.
While Patterson would never go on to play at a high professional level, he was a fantastic goaltender in the OHL and an even better person off the ice, with his passing hitting many in the hockey community very hard.
We take this time to send our condolences to Patterson's family, friends, former teammates, coaches and anyone that was effected by the fantastic human being that Patterson was throughout his life.
Rest in Peace, Jake Patterson.
