Auston Matthews is one of the greatest goal scorers the NHL has ever seen, and now Matthew Tkachuk has given nothing but praise for the Maple Leafs superstar.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers have built up quite the rivalry in recent years, but in their last two Stanley Cup Playoffs encounters, it's been the Panthers to come out on top.
Then, the addition of Brad Marchand to the rivalry only sparked things further, with the veteran recently stirring up drama between the two teams again when he commented on Mitch Marner's departure from the organization.
Recently, Matthew Tkachuk while sidelined with injury also commented on the Maple Leafs, but on this occasion, he was much more complimentary of their captain, Auston Matthews.

Matthew Tkachuk all praise for Auston Matthews

On the latest episode of the Wingmen Podcast with his brother Brady, Matthew had nothing but praise for No. 34, comparing him to Patrick Kane and calling him one of the greatest goal scorers the NHL has ever seen.
I cannot believe how many goals he has right now. He's probably not even in the prime of his career yet, and he's going to end up with hundreds more goals. It's pretty impressive, if you ask me.

Back then, it was his hands, like his hands were insane, just stickhandling in the phone booth. He was like Patrick Kane with a little bigger frame, and now he's the whole package. He's been such an offensive weapon ever since a young age. - Matthew Tkachuk
Despite being just 28-years of age, Matthews has already posted 424 goals in his career in just 670 games played, and although Alex Ovechkin has set a lofty target, many believe that No. 34 could one day chase him down.
Ultimately, Matthews has been a star since he arrived in the National Hockey League, and if he stays healthy, we'll one day look back at one of the greatest goal scorers the game has ever seen.
