Nathan MacKinnon said that the National Hockey League has rescinded his major penalty after running into Edmonton Oilers goaltender Connor Ingram on Tuesday.

There was a major incident during Tuesday's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche in which Nathan MacKinnon ran into Oilers goalie Connor Ingram, injuring him.
MacKinnon received a five minute major for the infraction and a game misconduct, something that didn't sit well with the Avalanche.
But now, MacKinnon is revealing that the NHL has rescinded the major penalty that he was slapped with, per Avalanche analyst Corey Masisak.
Nathan MacKinnon said the NHL rescinded his major penalty.

If you get two in a certain amount of games, it's an automatic suspension. So he's back to zero for those purposes. - Corey Masisak
Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said that even though Ingram also left the game, he is feeling better now.
He's feeling well, obviously that can change, but he was not allowed to come back. - Kris Knoblauch

Avalanche Coach Jared Bednar Said He Didn't Care About Connor Ingram's Injury

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar was in a defiant mood after the game, saying that he didn't care if Ingram was hurt and that it was Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse who was really at fault.
There's no chance he hits the goalie if (Darnell) Nurse doesn't run into him," Bednar said to reporters. "I don't care if he's injured, not injured, if it's a severe crash, not a severe crash - it's not a penalty. If you put guys into your own goalie, it's not a penalty.

"The goalie's hurt, so it's five (minutes). Again, I really don't give a crap if the goalie's hurt. That's on their d-man, not our guy. - Jared Bednar
