The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced a major demotion for defenseman Morgan Rielly, and the fans of the struggling club are reacting positively to the news.
The floundering Toronto Maple Leafs are most likely going to see their postseason streak, which has lasted since 2017, end this year.
Amidst rumours that head coach Craig Berube's job security could be in question, he's made a move to the lineup that plenty of fans are saying that is overdue.
Morgan Rielly has been demoted to the second power-play unit, and his spot on the top power-play unit has been taken by Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Lots of Maple Leafs fans are wondering why this wasn't done earlier by Berube.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson Was Nearly Moved By The Maple Leafs
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who is playing in his second year in a Maple Leafs sweater, was included in multiple trade rumours leading up to last week's deadline.
But after the deadline passed and he remained with the Maple Leafs, he said that he's glad he wasn't moved.
I don't know. I was just, like I said, happy to still be here that's what I wanted, and that's what my family wanted, so super excited about that. I still have a lot of belief in this organization and love being here. I was trying not to think about it too much. But it was pretty tough. - Oliver Ekman-Larsson
