Frank Serevalli sets timeline for Rasmus Andersson trade
Per a new report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Calgary Flames would like to get a move done with pending UFA defenseman Rasmus Andersson before the start of the Olympic break in February.
One of the most talked about players in the NHL today in trade rumours is Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson.
The Flames are in the second to last spot in the Pacific Division, only one point ahead of the last place Vancouver Canucks.
Not only is Andersson involved in trade rumours, but so is forward Nazem Kadri, who could very well be moved as well.
Per a new report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Flames would like to get a move done with Andersson between now and the start of the Olympic roster freeze in early February.
Frank Seravalli: I know for certain the Flames would like to try and make a move with Rasmus Andersson somewhere between the holiday freeze ending and that Olympic freeze [Feb. 4] beginning; I don't think they wanna leave this to the other side of the Olympics - Big Show (12/22)
Rasmus Andersson Is A Pending UFA At The End Of The Season
The Flames would like to move on from Andersson at some point in the near future, and he could very well be on the move prior to the NHL roster freeze for the Olympic break in early February.
Per a report analyst Brennan McLain, there are multiple teams that could suit Andersson.
The Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Vegas Golden Knights would join the Stars as potential suitors. However, given the competitive states of the Predators and Kraken, only the Panthers, Lightning, Golden Knights, and Stars would make theoretical sense. -Brennan McLain
