Mikko Rantanen and the Finnish national team didn't come to Milano to play nice or protect Italy’s ego during an 11-0 dismantling of the host nation.

Rantanen's post-game comments showed no remorse:
This was probably the only game I didn't feel bad just because the goal differential, I knew how much that matters for second place, to get the bye to the quarterfinals. So today I didn't feel bad.

The Olympic tiebreaker math is the onlything that matters

Critics are already crying about sportsmanship. They don't get the math of the short tournament. In the Olympics, goal differential is the ultimate currency.
You don't back off. You don't let up. If you do, you risk your seeding and your path to the podium.
The hosts were chasing ghosts for sixty minutes. It was a clinic in efficiency. It was a warning to every other powerhouse in the bracket.
Finland is hunting for gold, despite their loss in Game 1 to Slovakia.
If you don't like the score, find a way to stop him. Don't expect an apology when the job is done.
