REPORT: Anaheim Ducks player injured in serious car accident

No one ever wants to hear news like this, but thankfully this Ducks player is going to make a full recovery.

Anaheim Ducks forward Justin Kirkland was on his way to his game on Sunday to take on the Boston Bruins, when we was involved in a serious car accident.

Kirkland was transported to UCI Health, where he remained for the night. At the time of writing, it is believed he is still under evaluation, but luckily he has full mobility and is in communication with his family and friends.

It is expected that he would be released within the next 24 hours.


The Anaheim Ducks General Manager Pat Verbeek released the following:

We are thankful for the quick care and treatment Justin received from first responders and medical staff at UCI Health. Justin is in great spirits, and we hope he will be released shortly.



The 26 year old 3rd round pick by the Nashville Predators has played in 7 games with the Anaheim Ducks this season.
