Internet Erupts Over Strange New Rumor Surrounding Matthew Tkachuk

Rumors in the NHL are as common as trees in a forest. But typically they involve things like trades, free agent signings, prospect news, or something else related to the league.

Today a rather unusual rumor has cropped up involving Matthew Tkachuk, but it has nothing to do with a potential trade or any other hockey-related business.

Rather, the rumor that has online hockey circles scrambling is that the injured forward reportedly has lice.

Of course, most fans see the humorous nature of the rumor, with many taking it as an opportunity to make jokes at Tkachuk's expense.

Luckily, if Tkachuk does in fact have lice, it won't be spreading around the Panthers' locker room as he is out for the remainder of the regular season with an injury he sustained during the Four Nations Faceoff.

Tkachuk remains one of the most important players on the Panthers as he had 22 goals and 57 points through 52 games prior to the injury.

Hopefully he can return at some point during the playoffs, but at this point that does not seem likely unless the team goes on another deep run.

Even then it remains a mystery as to whether or not he will be able to return.

One thing is for sure though and that is his status will not change regardless of whether he has lice or not.
