It looks like the Ottawa Senators are trying out new alternate sweaters to wear next season, and the early 1st impressions from the fans aren't exactly welcoming.
Throughout their history, the Ottawa Senators have gone through multiple different looks and variations of their team logo.
And while their current uniforms have mostly been well-received, Senators fans aren't exactly taking kindly to the leaked images of an alleged 3rd sweater for next season.
Fans, unsurprisingly, were not happy:
The Senators introduced their most updated look in late 2020
This is a nod to the success of the past and a celebration of the future with the bright young stars and talented prospect. The original Senators jersey represents and connects the bond and exuberance of the young and committed teams of the past and present.
Eugene Melnyk, the late owner of the Senators who passed away in March 2022, declared it was a return to the franchise's original heritage.
It is time for the Senators to return to our roots.
The fans of this great franchise have high expectations. We have heard from our fans, our partners and our players, and we have listened. It is time to return to our heritage, but in a bold, new manner.
