There are 4 new players on the waiver wire in the NHL today, including a veteran of 10 years; they have 24 hours to be claimed or will be assigned to the AHL.

It's a busy day for the waiver wire in the National Hockey League on Sunday, as a total of 4 new players are up for grabs - but there's a catch.
Thanks to post-Trade Deadline rules, any player that hits waivers and gets claimed will be unable to play for their new team for the remainder of the year.
The players who have been placed on waivers include Patrick Brown and Vinni Lettieri of the Boston Bruins, along with Brandan Gaunce and Devin Shore of the Minnesota Wild.
The most notable of the aforementioned players is Shore, who has played 10 years in the NHL after being taken by the Stars in the 2nd round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
The Stars eventually traded him to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for veteran Andrew Cogliano. Later on, he would be traded again to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Sonny Milano.
Since then, he's bounced around the NHL; his career includes stops with the Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken before signing with the Wild before the start of 2024-25.
This year, he has 5 points (1G, 4A) in 51 games played. Overall, he has 144 points (52G, 92A) in 494 career games.

3 other players are up for grabs

Following their 8th-straight loss, the Bruins waived both Patrick Brown and Vinni Lettieri. Brown has a single assist in 13 games this year, while Lettieri has 3 points (2G, 1A) in 19 games.
Meanwhile, Gauce had a single assist in 12 games with the Wild; he has 29 points (13G, 16A) in 189 games with the Vancouver Canucks, Blue Jackets, Bruins and Wild.
