Dany Heatley known to have the weirdest morning routine
Nick Foligno has revealed on a podcast that former NHL star Dany Heatley was not just known for his scoring power on the ice, but for his very strange routines.
Nick Foligno was recently interviewed on John Scott's podcast "Dropping the Gloves" where he talked about how Dany Heatley had some very interesting, hilarious morning routines, and prior to this, how Dany Heatley hated one of the most viral parodies back in the mid 2000s, which was dubbed the "Heatdaddy" parody.
The YouTube channel "Ottawa Gh0st" were the ones that created this parody that depicted Heatley as a cocky player where he would be seen saying "I'm an all-star" in the video. Fans used to love that video, but Dany Heatley didn't care for it all that much. Nick Foligno said that Dany Healtey would vent about the video all the time, even jokingly saying that he was way better than former teammate Jason Spezza. Despite Dany Heatley not being too amused by this video, Nick Foligno says he was very funny in other ways.
"Yeah, he hated that guy." Foligno said, "That was like a parody thing Oh, he hated that guy so much. He would be like, yeah, I don't know why. I'm not like, I'm way better than Spez. Like, you would have that mouth. Oh, it was so funny. He hated that guy. He hated that guy. I think it's one of the funniest things ever"
Nick Foligno says one of the things he will never forget was Dany Heatley's morning routine.
"I'll never forget this. He'd come in, he'd have his towel up to his nipples pretty much, and he'd walk in, he had this, like, strut, and he also had a torn ac, so his one like this. But he'd have those monster, like a rock star drinks. I'm talking like eight in the morning, right? And then he'd go in the cold tub and he'd chug this thing, and then he would sit there and we call it the birdbath' because he just splashed a ton of cold water. And just like, it was like he had to wake himself up from whatever he was doing the night before."
Despite all of these wacky behaviors, Nick Foligno said that Dany Heatley was a fantastic player and had one heck of a powerful shot.
Dany Heatley played for several teams in his illustrious NHL career, those being the Atlanta Thrashers, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks. He hit career highs with 50 goals in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, during the hay days with the Ottawa Senators alongside Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson.
