Today three defenceman who have been a cornerstone of the league for a long time announced that their time is done.
First, Keith Yandle who was once a highly sought after offensive defenceman announced he was retiring. Last season we saw him be healthy scratched which ended his NHL record iron man streak:
Next, Zdeno Chara who make him entry into the league all the way back in 1997 announced his retirement:
Then lastly P.K Subban at the young age of 33 announced he will be stepping away from the game. Subban is the more interesting one as he believed he still had a lot to offer the game, and it wasn't too long ago that he was considered one of the top 5 best defenceman in the league.
